Fiber Layout

Form:  Define Materials, Generated Fibers for SD Section {Section Name}, Fiber Section Properties for SD Section {Section Name}

Use the Define menu > Fiber Layout command to display the Fiber Layout form. Use the form to specify the fiber model that can be used to calculate moment-curvature curves and PMM interaction surfaces as well as fiber hinges.

  1. Use one of the Draw menu commands to draw the cross section.

  2. Click the Define menu > Fiber Layout command to display the Fiber Layout form.

  3. Click the Display menu > Show Fibers command to view a graphical representation of the fiber model as well as the Generated Fibers for SD Section {Section Name} form, which provides the data for each fiber generated for the fiber model, including the area, coordinates, and material properties. The data is provided for review purposes only and cannot be edited.  The fiber associated with the row of data selected in the form will "pulse" in the graphical display. Click the Show Properties button to display the Fiber Section Properties for SD Section {Section Name} form, which lists the fiber section and {shape} section properties in non-editable format.
