Use the Options menu > Colors command to display the Assign Display Colors form. Use the form to specify the display colors for the components of the cross section, both for on-screen display and for output to a printer.
Note: The fill color for geometric shapes (I-sections, rectangles, etc.,) is set using the Shape Properties form and is not controlled in any way by the options chosen on this form.
Click to Change Colors area. Left click on any of the colors shown for the following to display the Color form. Choose the revised color and click the OK button to change the display color for the associated item.
Reinforcing: Controls the color of the rebar in reinforcing shapes and geometric shapes.
XY Axes: Controls the color of the Section Designer X and Y axes.
Guide Lines: Controls the color of the guidelines. Use the View menu > Show Guide Lines command to toggle guidelines on and off.
Local Axes: Controls the color of the section local 2 and 3 axes.
Reference Lines: Controls the color of reference lines and circles. It also controls the color of the line associated with line pattern reinforcing shapes and the color of the bounding line associated with rectangular and circular reinforcing shapes.
Background: Controls the background color of the Section Designer window. The outline of geometric shapes (I-sections, rectangles, etc.,) is always displayed in a contrasting color relative to the background color (e.g., if the background is black, the outline is white; if the background is yellow, the outline is black).
This item does not control the background color of the display windows for the interaction surface and the moment curvature curve. Those background colors can not be changed.
Device Type: Use this option to indicate if the colors being specified are for screen display, output to a non-color printer or output to a color printer. Note that different display colors can be specified for each of the three device types.
Reset Defaults button: Resets the colors to the default colors. The Reset Defaults button resets the colors for all three device types, regardless of which one is currently chosen.
