Form: Strip Object Information
Use the Strip Object Information form to review assignments, geometry, and design for the selected strip object. Strip objects are used as aids in performing mild reinforcing and post-tensioning concrete slab design. If the model is unlocked, changes to strip objects can be made using this form. The various areas on this form include the following:
Strip Object Name edit box. Identifies the strip object. ETABS automatically assigns an alphanumeric identifier to strip objects sequentially as the objects are drawn.
Tabs. Three tabs allow for the review and modification of the strip assignments, geometry and design. Click in any active edit box to access the associated form where changes can be made.
Assignments: This tab displays group assignments.
Geometry: This tab displays the number of plan layout points and their coordinates, the number of design strip segments, and the segment widths and lengths, as well as whether the width has been determined by the program or specified by the user.
Design: This tab displays the strip layer, the design type, a design flag, a flag to include PT, rebar material, where the rebar cover is specified, and the reduction factor to be applied to slab design forces associated with reducible live load patterns.
Reset All button. Click this button to reset any changes made to the items on the tabs to the values displayed when the form was first opened.
Note: This form can also be accessed by expanding the tree under Structural Objects > Strip Objects on the Model tab in the Model Explorer window. and double clicking on the desired strip object name.
