Use the following method to draw a 2 joint link when the model is displayed in a 2-D View:
Click the Home > View > More > Show Grids command to turn the grids on.
Use the Home > View > More Set 2-D View command to set the active window to select the plane in which the joint is to be added.
Click the Advanced > Draw > Draw 2 Joint Link Element command to display the Properties of Object form and to switch to drawing a frame object between 2 points. Use the form to specify the Link Property, plane offset, and drawing controls.
Click on a grid intersection, a previously defined joint or any point in the plane. Click again on another point to add a single link object. Pressing the ESC key will also terminate the sequential drawing mode and enable Select mode.
