Restrainer properties specify data for restrainer cables. Restrainer cables are used as tension ties across superstructure discontinuities. Restrainers may be assigned at abutments and hinges and at bents where the superstructure is discontinuous over the bent. When specified, the program assumes that a restrainer cable exists at each girder location. A restrainer property can be specified as a Link/Support property or it can be user defined. The user defined restrainer is recommended. The user defined restrainer is specified by a length, area and modulus of elasticity.
