Run Rating

Form: Perform Bridge Superstructure Rating

The Design/Rating >Load Rating > Run Rating command starts the load rating process.

  1. Use the Bridge Wizard or the commands on the various tabs to create a bridge model. At least a layout line and deck section must be defined so that a bridge object can be defined. Specify Load Patterns and Load Cases that are then combined in Load Combinations, which are generated automatically by the program to satisfy the limit state(s) specified in the code selected using the Design/Rating > Load Rating > Preferences command; load combinations also can be user specified.

  2. Use the Design/Rating > Load Rating > Rating Requests command to specify the loading to be analyzed.

  3. Click the Design/Rating > Load Rating > Run Rating command to display the Perform Bridge Superstructure Rating form. Use that form to set the action for individual rating requests or for all rating requests simultaneously.

Delete a Rating Request

Highlight a Request Name and click the Delete Rating for Request button to delete the rating for the selected request. Use the Delete All Ratings button to delete all ratings simultaneously. If rating for one request is deleted, the status of the rating  will be set to Not Run.

Important: When ratings are deleted, you will be asked for confirmation. After a rating has been deleted, it cannot be recovered until rating is run again. Clicking the Cancel button will not undelete them.  Also, a rating request can not be deleted as described here until after the rating has been run.

Note:  To delete a rating request, click the Design/Rating > Load Rating > Rating Requests command to access the Bridge Rating Requests {Code} form. Highlight the request to be deleted and click the Delete Request button.

  1. After the rating has been performed, use the Home > Display > Show Bridge Superstructure Forces/Stress command to access the Bridge Object Response Display form. Use the various options on that form to review and evaluate the design.
