The Home > Select > Select > Coordinate Specification > 3D Box command works in a 3D View. Unlike some of the other selection commands that select objects without regard to their connection to other objects, the Home > Select > Select > Coordinate Specification > 3D Box command selects points, frames, cables, tendons, areas or solids, giving full consideration to connections among the objects.
Click the Home > Select > Select > Coordinate Specification > 3D Box command to enable the 3D Box Selection mode.
Left click in the active window and hold down the left mouse button; then drag the mouse diagonally over the target area, to the opposite diagonal corner of the "3D selection box." Note that the specified corner points of the selection box must occur at point objects or at the intersection of grid lines. Also note that when dragging the mouse, the diagonal must be through the interior of the selection box, not along the face of the selection box.
Release the mouse button and any objects within the 3D Box will be selected.
