Use the Vehicle Data form to specify the various loads associated with a named vehicle.
Vehicle Name edit box. Enter a Vehicle Name or accept the default.
Notes button. Click this button to access the Vehicle Notes form. Use the form to add notes to the file concerning this vehicle.
Units drop-down list. Use the displayed units or select new units from the drop-down list.
Source label. Identifies the source of the vehicle. It can be "Program Default", "User Defined", or an XML file name.
Convert to User Defined button. Click the button to convert a non-user-defined vehicle to a user-defined vehicle.
Length Effects definition. Select the length effect from the drop-down box and click the Modify/Show button to edit the data.
Vehicle Applies to Straddle (Adjacent) Lanes Only check box. When this box is checked, the vehicle will straddle adjacent lanes.
Straddle Reduction Factor edit box. CSiBridge will display a default value for the factor to be used to reduce the response from the straddle vehicle. Type a new value in the edit box if necessary.
Vehicle Remains Fully In Lane (In Lane Longitudinal Direction) check box. When this box is checked, the vehicle will not move outside the lane in the longitudinal direction.
Usage options Check the appropriate check boxes to select the responses calculated during the analysis process. More than one option can be selected for a Vehicle definition.
Min Dist Allowed From Axle Load edit boxes. Enter a minimum distance allowed from the axle load for the exterior and interior edge of the lane the vehicle is on.
Center of Gravity edit boxes. Enter the height of the center of gravity for the axle loads and uniform loads.
Vertical Loading and Horizontal Loading buttons. Click the buttons to edit the vertical and horizontal loading data.
Load Plan and Load Elevation display areas. Graphically displays the uniform and axle loads defined for the vehicle both in plan and elevation views.
To display the Vehicle Data form,
Click the Loads > Vehicles Type > Vehicles > Expand command to display the Define Vehicles form and click the Add button.
Select the Vehicle Definition item on the Bridge Wizard and click the Define/Show Vehicle button to display the Define Vehicles form, then click the Add button.
Select a vehicle from the Define Vehicles form, click Copy or Modify/Show.
Note: When the vehicle source is not user-defined, the form will be loaded with the data that defines the standard vehicle definition from XML file or program default and the data cannot be changed. Use the convert to User Defined button on the Vehicle Data form to convert the definition to a user-defined vehicle.
