Export - Text

Form:  Choose Tables to Export as Text File

Use the Orb > Export > Text command to export the model definition, analysis results, and design results as a text file with a .$br extension.

Note:  If objects were selected before the Orb > Export > Text command is used, the data for only the selected objects will be exported.

  1. Click the Orb > Export > Text command to access the Choose Tables to Export to Text File form.

  2. Use the form to select the data to be included in the export.

  3. Click the OK button on the Choose Tables to Export to Text File form to complete the export.

As many files as necessary can be exported from a given CSiBridge  model. Each file may contain different tables and may apply to different parts of the model. The files may be used for processing by other programs, for modification before re-importing into CSiBridge, or for any other purpose. However, if the exported file is to contain a complete description of the model, be sure to export all importable mode definition data for the entire structure.

Note: A text file with a .$br extension is saved at the same time that the model database is saved with an .bdb extension. The .$br text file is for analysis purposes only or for recovering the model in emergency crash situations and is not a substitute for the database file. However, it does contain all of the information needed to recreate the model.
