Form: Shell Assignment - Stiffness Modifiers
Modification factors can be defined as part of shell section properties and assigned directly to shell objects. It is intended that modification factors be specified using the shell section property definition or the shell object assignment, not both. See Property Stiffness Modification Factors Form for more information.
Specify Modification Factors on an Object-By-Object Basis
Select the object(s) to be assigned property stiffness modification factors.
Click the Assign menu > Shell > Stiffness Modifiers command to access the Shell Assignment - Stiffness Modifiers form.
Enter other values for the modification factors by typing the values in the edit boxes for the individual factors; then click the Apply button.
The f11, f22 and f12 modifiers are essentially equivalent to modification factors on the thickness of the shell element.
The m11, m22 and m12 modifiers are essentially equivalent to modification factors on the thickness3 of the shell element.
When the Apply button is used, the Shell Assignment - Stiffness Modifiers form will remain open until it is closed by clicking the Close button. This allows selection of another shell object(s), to which a different assignment can be made.
If only one assignment is being made to only one set of selected objects, the OK button can be used to both apply the assignment and close the form.
