Please refer to the Response Spectrum Functions topic for help with the Function Name and Function Damping Ratio edit boxes, Defined Function area, Convert to User Defined button, Function Graph and Plot Options of the form.
Provide input parameters for the following areas on this form:
Maximum Influence Factor, AlphaMax edit box. Used to calculate the factor of seismic lateral influence, alpha1, obtained from the 2010 Chinese Design Code response spectrum for the fundamental period.
Seismic Intensity, SI drop-down list. Has six possible values: 6(0.05g), 7(0.10g), 7(0.15g), 8(0.20g), 8(0.30g) and 9(0.40g)
Characteristic Ground Period, Tg, edit box. is entered in units of seconds. The fundamental period, T1, is multiplied by the period time discount factor, PTDF, prior to looking up the value of alpha1 from the 2010 Chinese Design Code response spectrum curve. PTDF typically ranges from 0.5 to 1.0.
Period Time Discount Factor, PTDF edit box. Specify the period time discount factor (PTDF) in this edit box.
