Use the Time Dependent Properties for Concrete form and the Time Dependent Properties for Masonry form to specify the Compressive Strength and Stiffness, Creep, and Shrinkage factors for the material definition with CEB-FIP 90, CEB-FIP 2010, ACI 209R-92, or User.
Time Dependence Considered For options. Check the check box for the compressive strength and stiffness (Modulus of Elasticity), creep, or shrinkage to be included in the definition. Other parameters on the form will be enabled/disabled depending on which check box is checked.
Show Plot button. After a selection for Time Dependence had been made, click this button to access the Material Property Time Dependence Plot form. Use the form to view a plot of the temperature dependent property definition.
When selecting the User option, full control is given for defining the following data:
Stiffness versus age, defined as a multiplier of the material modulus of elasticity
Creep coefficient versus days since loading, for multiple ages at loading. Interpolation will be used between the different age loading curves.
Shrinkage strain versus age.
After the time dependent properties have been specified as part of the material property definition, the properties are applied to the model by assigning the material property definition to a selected frame(s) or a slab, deck, or wall object(s).
Access the Time Dependent Properties for Concrete form as follows:
Method 1
Click the Define menu > Materials command to access the Define Materials form.
Then do one of the following to access the Material Property Data form:
Click the Add New Material button to access the Add New Material Property form; specify a new property definition.
Highlight an existing definition and click the Add Copy of Material or Modify/Show Material button.
Ensure that the Material Type is Concrete or Masonry.
Click the Time Dependent Properties button.
Method 2:
Click the button on the Frame Section Property Data form to bring up the Define Materials form.
Click the Add New Material button, which will bring up the Add New Material Property form. Use it to specify a material. The Material Property Data form will then display automatically.
Ensure that the Material Type is Concrete or Masonry.
Click the Time Dependent Properties button.
