Use the Linear Link/Support Directional Properties form to define the Stiffness Values Used For All Load Cases and Damping Values Used For All Load Cases for the links by entering the desired values in the edit boxes.
Note that the following cannot be edited because they reflect the options defined before the Modify/Show for All button was clicked: Link/Support Property Name and Shear Distance.
Directional Control area. Check the appropriate Direction check boxes in this area to specify the direction(s) for which stiffness and damping is to be specified on this form. If the Fixed check box is checked, the associated degree of freedom is fixed or rigid.
Stiffness Values Used for All Load Cases
Stiffness Is Uncoupled option or Stiffness Is Coupled option. Choose to specify uncoupled or coupled stiffness and then enter the necessary values in the available edit boxes.
Damping Values Used for All Load Cases
Damping is Uncoupled option or Damping is Coupled option. Choose to specify uncoupled or coupled damping and then enter the necessary values in the available edit boxes.
Shear Direction area and U2 and U3 edit boxes. Use these edit boxes to specify the location of shear deformation relative to the distance from End J.
Access the Link/Support Directional Properties Data form as follows:
Click the Define menu > Section Properties > Link/Support Properties command to access the Define Link Properties form.
Click the Add New Property button or highlight an existing definition and click the Modify/Show Property button to access the Link Property Data form.
Check the Direction check box associated with a degree of freedom (U1, U2, U3, R1, R2, FR3) and then click the associated Modify/Show for All button.
