Use the Quick Layer Definition Data form to specify the rebar material and size for a single layer or the top and bottom of a two-layer concrete slab or wall object.
General Data
Concrete Material drop-down list. Choose the material definition for the layer. Alternatively click the button to the right of the drop-down list to access the Define Materials form and add a new material definition.
Rebar Material drop-down list. Choose the material definition for the rebar. Alternatively, click the button to the right of the drop-down list to access the Define Materials form and add a new rebar material definition.
Concrete Thickness edit box. Use this edit box to specify the thickness of the concrete section.
Number of Rebar Layers drop-down list. Use this drop-down list to specify more than one rebar layer.
In-Plane Component Behavior check boxes. Use these check boxes to specify which material components will be nonlinear. When any of the components check boxes is checked, the layer will behave nonlinearly in that direction in a nonlinear load case. When none of the component options are set, the layer will not contribute to the stiffness in that direction in a nonlinear load case.
Out-of-Plane Component Behavior options. Choose to specify if the out-of-plane behavior is the same as in-plane or if it is linear. When any of the components is set to be Linear, the layer will behave linearly in that direction in a nonlinear load case.
Rebar Size, Spacing and Clear Cover spreadsheet. This spreadsheet shows the rebar sizes, spacing, and clear cover in the positive and negative faces of the slab or wall relative to the local 3 axis.
button. Click this button in this area to access the Reinforcing Bar Sizes form. Use that form to review or specify the rebar set.
Size and Spacing is the Same for All Rebar check box. Check this check box to quickly specify that the sizes and spacing of all rebar be the same.
Section Cut display area. Use this area of the form to display a 1-3, or 2-3 Section Cut of the rebar layout in the concrete slab or wall object.
Local 1-2 Plane display area. Choose which view of the rebar layout to be shown by selecting the positive or negative 3-Axis face.
When the OK button is clicked, the data entered on this form will automatically transfer to the spreadsheet area of the Slab Property Layer Definition Data form or Wall Property Layer Definition Data form.
