Form: Tendon Property Data

Use the Tendon Property Data form to add, copy, modify, or delete a tendon property definition that can be assigned to tendon objects in the model. Tendon property definitions are used to specify materials and strand areas. This form has the following options:

• Property Name edit box.  Use the default or specify another name for the tendon section definition. Note that section names must be unique.

• Material Type drop-down list. Choose the material property for the tendon from the drop-down list of defined material properties. Or use the button to the right of the drop-down list to display the Define Materials form and add a new material definition (or modify an existing definition).

• Display Color and Change button. The color displayed will be used to indicate the tendon objects to which this property has been assigned. Click the Change button to display the Color form and select a different color for this property.

• Tendon Property Notes button. Click this button to access the Tendon Property Notes form. Use that form to add notes about the tendon property to the model file.

• Strand Area edit box. Use the default value or input another value for the strand cross-sectional area.

Note: The number of strands in a tendon are specified at the time of assignment.

Access the Tendon Property Data form as follows:

1. Click the Define menu > Section Properties > Tendon Sections command to access the Tendon Properties form.

2. Click the Add New Property button or highlight a previously defined property and click the Add Copy of Property button or the Modify/Show Property button.
