Define Pier Sections

Form:  Pier Sections

Select the Design menu > Shear Wall Design > Define Pier Sections command to access the Pier Sections form and begin to define a wall pier section definition with user-defined vertical reinforcing using the wall designer utility or to modify or delete an existing definition. Use the buttons on the Pier Sections form to complete the definition.

• Add Pier Section button. Click the Add Pier Section button to access the Pier Section Data form.

• Add Copy of Pier Section button. Use this button to add a pier section definition based on an existing definition.

1. 1. Highlight the pier section to be copied in the Sections list on the Pier Sections form.

   2. Click the Add Copy of Pier Section button to access the Pier Section Data form "pre-loaded" with the parameters of the pier section highlight in Step 1.  Use the options on the form to modify the pier section as necessary.

• Modify/Show Pier Section button. Use this button to modify an existing pier section.

1. 1. Highlight the pier section to be modified in the Sections list on the Pier Sections form

   2. Click the Modify/Show Pier Section button to access the Pier Section Data form. Use the options on the form to modify the pier section as necessary.  

• Delete Pier Section button

1. 1. Highlight the pier section to be deleted in the Sections list on the Pier Sections form

   2. Click the Delete Pier Section button.
