Use the Edit menu > Edit Shells > Merge Shells command to merge two floor-type (horizontal) shell objects that have a common edge or overlap. Only two shell objects can be merged at a time.
Note: No form displays. This action occurs immediately.
Select the two shell objects to be merged by clicking on them.
Click the Edit menu > Edit Shells > Merge Shells command
Right click on the resulting merged object to access the {Slab, Deck, Wall} Information form, which can be used to check the object's properties and assignments. When the two shell objects are merged, the new shell object takes on the properties and assignments of the shell object with the larger area. If the two shell objects have exactly the same area, the property and assignments come from the first drawn shell object. Because it may be unknown which shell object was drawn first, carefully check the assignments to the new combined shell object.
These figures show some examples of merged shell objects.
