Print Graphics

Form:  Print Graphics

Click the File menu > Print Graphics command to access the Print Graphics form. The form displays the graphic shown in the active window (Plan, Elevation, or 3-D).

The form includes horizontal and vertical rulers to help size the graphic in the display area. The Drawing Scale drop-down list can be used to set the scale of the drawing. The Zoom drop-down list will resize the display of the drawing without affecting the scale. The scroll bar along the right side of the display area can be used to view areas of the graphic when the graphic exceeds the size of the display area.

 The tool bar options can be used to prepare the graphic for printing, including adding additional images and notes.

Print button - Click this button to send the graphic(s) shown on the form immediately to the printer.

Print Setup button - Click this button to access the Print form. Use that form to select the printer,   the pages to be printed, and the number of copies to be printed. Clicking the Properties button on that form displays a printer-specific form that can be used to specify the quality of the output.

Page Setup button - Click this button to access the Page Setup form. Use the form to specify the paper size, source, orientation [portrait or landscape], and the margins. The margins are the distances from the edge of the page to the edge of the graphic, which includes white space around the graphic as shown in the Print Graphics form.  Use the options on the Print Graphics form to reduce the amount of white space.

Add Image button - Click this button and then move the image icon to the desired location on the preview graphic; hold the left mouse button down while dragging to create an image box. The Open form will be displayed ; select the image file to be added to the image box.

Add Note button - Click this button to display the Notes form that can be used to add descriptive or other text to the graphic. Use the options on the Notes form to set the fort, size, typeface (bold, italic, underlined) of the text as it will appear in the printout.
