Form: Tendon Loss Options
Use the Assign menu > Load Data > Tendon Losses command to assign post-tensioning losses to a selected tendon object. Post-tensioning tendon losses are typically defined as short term or long term. SAFE will use short term losses to adjust tendon forces in load cases associated with load patterns that have a type of PRESTRESS-TRANSFER, and will use long term losses to subsequently reduce tendon forces even further in load cases associated with load patterns that have a type of PRESTRESS-FINAL.
Select one or more tendon objects.
Click the Assign menu > Load Data > Tendon Losses command to access the Tendon Loss Options form.
Loss Calculation Method: Choose from the following options for calculating tendon losses:
Based on Force Percentage (%): Use this option to specify the losses at stressing and the long term losses as a percentage of the initial post-tensioning force.
Based on Fixed Stress Value: Use this option to specify the losses at stressing and the long term losses as a stress value. This is the default setting.
Based on Detailed Calculations: Use this option to specify individual curvature and wobble coefficients, anchorage slip, and elastic shortening losses for short term, and creep, shrinkage and relaxation losses for long term.
