Form: Point Restraints

Use the Assign menu > Support Data > Point Restraints command to assign a restraint to a selected point object. A point restraint is a rigid connection of the point to the ground. Restraints are specified independently for each degree of freedom at a point. Restraints are always applied in the global coordinate system.

  1. Select one or more point objects (points need not be in the datum plane, i.e., you may select the ends of columns and walls).

  2. Click the Assign menu > Support Data > Point Restraints command to access the Point Restraints form, which allows restraints to be specified in one of the following ways:
