Beam Rebar Curtailment Rules Form

Access the Beam Rebar Curtailment Rules form as follows (click here)

Use the Beam Rebar Curtailment Rules form to specify how beam rebar will be curtailed.

The Curtailment Rules are defined by specifying three types of information for top and bottom bars at different locations. The data that can be modified include the following:

This scheme is similar to the rules specified in various design codes.

Note:  Detailing of beams can be completed using the Reinforcement Extent Based on Design Only option on the Beam Detailing Preferences form, or the design can be completed as described in this topic. The changes described in the Curtailment Rules as explained here may not affect the final detailing of bars directly due to the consideration of computed bar cut-off locations, development and minimum bar length limits, and so on.
