Form: Detailing Preferences
Use the Detailing menu > Detailing Preferences command to set the standards, bar marks and units used when detailing a model.
Note: It is recommended that the Detailing Preferences be set before detailing the model. If the detailing has already been run and changes to the detailing preferences are made, when detailing is re-run the program will prompt the user to (a) run the detailing and generate a new set of drawings or (b) synchronize the detailing and update only the items on the existing drawings that are affected by the detailing changes.
Click the Detailing menu > Detailing Preferences command to access the Detailing Preferences form.
Standards: Select from the drop-down lists the Units (US or Metric). The Rebar Set option is for display only and reflects the selection made for the user rebar in the Design Preferences.
Bar Mark: Select from the drop-down lists the Bar Mark Style, Number Separator (separates the number from the Bar Mark), Mark Separator (separates the Bar Mark from the bar size), and Spacing Separator (separates the bar size from the bar spacing) to use when labeling the reinforcing bars.
Dimension Units: Select from the drop-down lists the units to use when creating the detailing drawings for Length, Section and Thickness, Rebar Spacing, and Force.
Dimension Format form. Use that form to review and if necessary alter how dimensions will be displayed on the detailing drawings.
button. Click the button to display theMaterial Quantity Units: Select from the drop-down lists the units to use when displaying material quantities for Rebar Length, Slab Area, Concrete Volume and Rebar Weight as they are used in Rebar Tables, Rebar Schedules and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
