Edit Reinforcement > Beams

Form: Edit Beam Reinforcement

Use the Detailing menu > Edit Reinforcement > Beams command to access the Edit Beam Reinforcement form.  Use the form to refine or modify the reinforcement layout that is automatically generated by the program based on the design results and the selected preferences.

1. Select from the Beam drop-down list the beam whose reinforcement is to be refined or modified. The selected beam will display in the window. The toolbar along the top of the window includes standard Zoom and Pan buttons that can be used to modify the display. The mouse wheel also can be used to adjust the view.

2. Click on a rebar to display dimension handles. Click on a handle, hold down the mouse button and drag the handle to resize the bar.  Use the edit box to specify a length that can be used to snap the location of bar ends while moving or resizing with the mouse.

Click the Ast Profile button to access the Beam Reinforcement form, which displays a comparison between the required reinforcement and the provided reinforcement in the selected beam.

3. Click the OK button to accept the changes made to the reinforcement in the various beams.
