Form: Edit Slab/Mat Reinforcement
Use the Detailing menu > Edit Reinforcement > Slabs/Mats command to access the Edit Slab/Mat Reinforcement form. Use the form to refine or modify the reinforcement layout that is automatically generated by the program based on the design results and the selected preferences.
Select from the Slab/Mat drop-down list the slab or mat whose reinforcement is to be refined or modified. The upper window shows the reinforcement plan of the selected slab or mat object.
Use the View Layer-A or View Layer-B
button to select the layer that contains the target strip.
Click on the plan in the upper window to select the strip with the reinforcement to be refined or modified. The toolbars along the tops of the windows include standard Zoom and Pan tools that can be used to optimize the display. The mouse wheel also can be used to adjust the view. Alternatively, use the drop-down list along the top of the lower window to select the strip or strip segment.
When the design strip in the upper window is clicked or when the strip is selected from the drop-down list, the reinforcement calls of the selected rebar Strip/Segment display in the lower window. Click on a rebar call in the strip to display dimension handles. Click on a dimension handle, hold down the mouse button and drag the rebar to a new location. Click the handle at the end of the rebar to change its length. Use the edit box to specify a length that can be used to snap the location of bar ends while moving or resizing with the mouse.
Click the Ast Profile button to access the Strip Reinforcement form, which displays a comparison between the required reinforcement and provided reinforcement in the selected strip/segment.
The rebar call text can be edited to change the number of bars and bar size within the selected call.
Note: Only valid combinations of number of bars and size written in proper format are accepted by the program. Typically, number bars, followed by valid bar size should be specified, as shown in the bar call.
After completing the editing of the text or bar lengths, click anywhere in the lower window, other than the bar call components to accept the changes.
Click the OK button to accept the changes made in various strips in the various slab/mat objects. The program will update the affected object views and drawings, including:
Slab/Mat Reinforcement Plan
Slab/Mat Sections
Rebar table and schedule
