Draw Slab Rebar

Form:  Draw Slab Rebar Object

Use the Draw menu > Draw Slab Rebar command to draw slab rebar objects. Slab rebar objects define the location and layout of user-defined slab reinforcement and are defined using polylines that may be multilinear. Widths on each side of the drawn polyline delineate the rebar slab object. The slab rebar object typically is used to compare user-specified slab reinforcing against program-calculated reinforcing and to specify reinforcing for nonlinear cracking analyses.

The form provides Rebar Size and Rebar Material drop-down lists of previously defined properties that can be assigned to the rebar object. The corresponding widths of the slab rebar object, as well as the vertical offset from the datum also are specified on this form. Depending on the specification type, review the total number of bars or the maximum bar spacing before drawing the slab rebar object. Change any entry in the form by clicking on it and making a new selection from the drop-down list or typing new information into the edit box, as appropriate.

  1. With the parameters in the Draw Slab Rebar Object form set, click the left mouse button once anywhere in the Plan View to start drawing the slab rebar object. Move the cursor to the end point of the slab rebar, and left click to complete the drawing of the slab rebar object. Moving the cursor to the next end point and left clicking will draw another segment. To start a new slab rebar object that is independent of the previous one, right click to discontinue the previous slab rebar object, then left click at the starting point of the new rebar object.
