Form: Open Model File

The File menu > Open command opens an existing model file. When this command is executed, the Open Model File form appears. Use that form to locate and highlight the desired filename. Note that SAFE files have a .FDB extension.

Alternatively, the name of the file can be typed into the File Name edit box, including the path if necessary. Then click the Open button.

Another way to open an existing model is to select it from the list of recently opened models that is displayed near the bottom of the File menu. If the model to be opened appears in that list, click on its name to open it. Note that the list is maintained in the SAFE.ini file that is kept in the Windows or WinNT directory. If this file is moved or lost, the list of recently used files disappears.
