The Options menu > Windows command allows the model to be displayed in One, Two Tiled Vertically, Two Tiled Horizontally, Three or Four windows. Use this command at any time to specify the number of windows to be displayed. Click the Arrange All command on the drop-down menu to arrange the selected window(s) using default settings.
Note: The Model Explorer is shown by default, regardless of the number of windows selected using this command. Use the Options menu > Show Model Explorer command to toggle the display of the Model Explorer off or on.
Each window may have its own view orientation, selected display objects, and display options. For example, the undeformed shape could be displayed in one window, applied loads in another, an animated deformed shape in a third, and design reinforcement in the fourth window. Alternatively, you could have four different views of the undeformed shape or other type of display: a plan view and a 3D view, for instance.
A window must be active before you can edit, draw, select, or assign objects in your model. The Display Title Bar is highlighted when the window is active.
Click the left mouse button in the Display Window to make the window active.
To quickly close a window, click on the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the window. The remaining windows will automatically resize. You cannot use the "X" to close a window if only one window is open.
Click the Options menu > Windows> Arrange All command to re-align and size the displays if the views have been moved or re-sized.
