Form: Set Display Options

Use the View menu > Set Display Options command to set various options that affect how the model appears in a Display Window. The options available using the View menu > Set Display Options command vary depending on the type of object. Selectively display various object types, associated object properties and labels, and support properties and restraints. Suppress or engage object fills and extrusions or shrink the object about its corresponding centroid to enhance the clarity of the display.
Checking the Not in View check box will hide all objects in a category, such that they will not be displayed or available for selection in the active window . Checking the Invisible check box in the Points area also will result in the points not being displayed, but unlike the Not in View option, the points will still be available for selection. To make an option visible on the model, click the box in front of the item. If an option is unavailable, it may be that the associated object type is not included in the model.
An important option is the Shrink Elements option and its corresponding . Either of these methods shrinks objects away from the joints, allowing better viewing of the connectivity of the model.
Note: The View menu > Set Display Options command sets options for the active window, not the entire model unless the Apply To All Windows option is checked. Thus, different display options can be set in each window.
