Punching Shear Results

Punching shear results are displayed as a ratio of maximum calculated shear with respect to capacity. A ratio above 1.0 would indicate capacity was exceeded somewhere along the critical section. The ratio is displayed for each column (and restrained point) and each point load. A notation of N/C means the value was not calculated by the program.

The tabular results for punching shear include the point label, the global X and Y coordinates of the point, the calculated capacity ratio, the governing load combination, the maximum calculated shear stress, the shear stress capacity, the transferred shear and moments about the x and y axes, the slab effective depth, the perimeter of the critical section, the program-assumed location of the column or load, and the status (OK, Failed).
