Equal-displacement behavior can be enforced using the Equal constraint. This type of behavior can be useful for connecting some or all degrees of freedom of different objects, such as at pinned connections or expansion joints within a structure.
Tip: Be careful about using Equal constraints to connect joints that are not at the same location, since they can introduce rotational fixity. For example, if you constrain the X translation (UX) at two joints that are separated by a finite distance in the Y direction, this will prevent rotation of that part of the structure about the Z axis. If this is not what you want, use a rigid Body constraint instead.
