Form:  Moving Load Case Results Saved

The options on this form can be used  to selectively control what information is calculated for joints and frame objects in the computationally intensive moving-load analysis.

  1. Response Category check boxes. Check each of the response categories to be analyzed (Displacements, Reactions, and so forth).

  2. Select Group drop-down list. Choose the group for which responses are to be computed. The default is ALL.

Important: If no groups are selected for response calculation, no results will be produced for moving-load analysis.

  1. Correspondence check boxes. Check the Correspondence check box associated with a response category to use the Max/Min Correspondence in design of frame sections when using moving loads. This is a very time-intensive operation so use it only when it is required.

  2. Method of Calculation. Select Exact or Refinement Level and enter a value in the edit box. The value entered can be any positive integer. This feature provides a "fast analysis option" for preliminary analysis. The larger the integer the greater the level of refinement.

  3. Allow loads to reduce response severity check box. Check this check box to moderate the severity of the response based on the loads specified for the moving load analysis.
