When the iterative design process is complete, the last used analysis section property for a frame object and the current design section property for that frame object should be the same. If this is not the case, the frame opbject may not have been designed for the correct forces. The Design menu > Aluminum Frame Design > Verify Analysis vs Design Section command is useful for verifying that the last used analysis section and the current design section are the same for all aluminum frame objects in the model.
When the Verify Analysis vs Design Section command is used, SAP2000 identifies how many frame objects with the Aluminum Frame design procedure have different analysis and design sections and then selects those frame objects, if you ask it to. Typically this command would be used after the final design iteration to verify that the analysis and design properties used are consistent.
It is not necessary to select any frame objects before using the Verify Analysis vs Design Section command. This command automatically checks all frame sections with the Aluminum Frame design procedure.
Note: Update the Analysis Section by rerunning the analysis, perhaps several times in a complex model. Update the Design Section using the Interactive Aluminum Frame Design command and the Overwrites button or the Change Design Section command.
