When the iterative design process is complete, the last used analysis section property for a frame object and the current design section property for that frame object should be the same. If this is not the case, the frame object may not have been designed for the correct forces. The Design menu > Concrete Frame Design > Verify Analysis vs Design Section command is useful for verifying that the last used analysis section and the current design section are the same for all concrete frame objects in the model. It is not necessary to select any objects before using the Verify Analysis vs Design Section command. This command automatically checks all frame sections with the Concrete Frame design procedure.
When the Verify Analysis vs Design Section command is used, SAP2000 displays how many frame objects with the Concrete Frame design procedure have different analysis and design sections and then selects those frame objects, if instructed to do so. Typically this command is used after the last design iteration has been run to verify that the analysis and design properties used are consistent.
Note: Update the Analysis Section by rerunning the analysis, perhaps several times in a complex model. Update the Design Section using the Interactive Concrete Frame Design command and the Overwrites button or use the Change Design Section command.
