This command replaces the Auto Select section assignments for the selected members with the current design section previously chosen from the auto select group. This is an irreversible action, i.e. once the Auto Select sections are turned off they will no longer be available for optimal design. After using this command, Auto Select sections would need to be reassigned if they were to once again be included in the design selection process.
Select the frame members for which the Auto Select sections are to be replaced with the current design section.
Click the Design menu > Steel Frame Design > Make Auto Select Section Null command.
SAP2000 will issue a warning message that the Auto-Selected Sections Assignments will be replaced by the current design sections for the selected members. Click OK if acceptable; otherwise, click Cancel.
Note: This option should only be used after the final design cycle.
