Link Plot Functions Form

Use the Link Plot Function form to specify the parameters for displaying link force and deformation functions.

- Element ID edit box. Enter the Element ID. A function name will automatically appear in the Plot Function Name text box. This is the name of the plot function for display purposes.
- Component area. Select the appropriate component (if deformation U1, U2, U3, R1, R2, R3; if force Axial Force, Shear 22, Shear 33, Torsion, Moment 22, Moment 33 ).
- Type area. Choose deformation or forces at End I or End J.

Click the OK button to complete the definition of the link plot function and return to the Plot Function form.
Define another function, or click the OK button to return to the Plot Function Trace Display Definition form. Refer to the Plot Functions topic for the additional steps required to display the link plot function.

Access the Link Plot Functions form as follows:

Construct a model that contains a link property.
Define a Time History function and a Time History load case and run an analysis.
Click the Display menu > Show Plot Functions command to display the Plot Function Trace Display Definition form.
Click the Define Plot Functions button to display the Plot Functions form.
Select the Add Link Forces/Deformations option from the Choose Function Type to Add drop-down list and click the Add Plot Function button, or highlight a previously defined link plot function definition and click the Modify/Show Plot button to display the Link Plot Functions form.
