Form: Divide Selected Frames
Use the Edit menu > Edit Lines > Divide Frames command to access the Divide Selected Frames form. The form has options to divide a frame into user-specified segments of user-defined size, or break a frame at intersections with selected frames and joints.
Divide the selected frame into user specified segments of user defined sizes as follows:
Select the frame objects to be divided.
Click the Edit menu > Edit Lines > Divide Frames command to access the Divide Selected Frames form.
Select the "Divide into" option.
Type in the number of objects the frame object is to be divided into.
Type in the ratio of the last object to the first, if the division is not to be in equal lengths.
Click the OK button.
Break a frame that intersects with selected frames and joints as follows:
Select the frame objects to be broken into the multiple objects and also select the intersecting objects or joints.
Click the Edit menu > Edit Lines > Divide Frames command to access the Divide Selected Frames form.
Select the Break at intersections with selected Joints, Frames, Area Edges and Solid Edges option.
Click the OK button.
