Use the File menu > Create Report command to generate a report for the open file.
Create a model, and as necessary, complete analysis and design.
Click the File menu > Report Setup command to access the Report Setup Data form. Use that form to specify the filename and storage path, the report format (.rtf, .htm, .txt), the orientation (portrait or landscape), and the various items to be included (e.g., cover page, hyperlinked TOC, load patterns, load cases/combinations, and so forth).
Note: For larger or more complex models, the program may display the Statics for Large Report form, which indicates, among other information, the number of lines of data to be included in the report. The form provides the option to continue with report generation (Yes) or not (No). When larger quantities of data are to be included, it will take longer to generate the report. It may take considerable time and available memory to generate reports for larger/complex models. It may be necessary to reduce the number of items to be included in the report using the Report Setup Data form.
Click the File menu > Create Report command. When this command is clicked, a file storage form displays with the storage path identified based on the selection made on the Report Setup Data form.
Note: This command generates output for the open file only. Use the File menu > Advanced Report Writer command to further refine the report layout, including combining data from multiple model files into a single report.
