Use the Abutment Overwrite Data form to specify the bearing property overwrites and foundation spring overwrites at the specified girder number.
Note: Girders are numbered from left to right across the bridge object, as viewed from the Start of the bridge object looking towards the End of the bridge object.
Abutment display box. Identifies if the abutment is at the Start or End of the bridge object.
Girder/Bearing Number edit box. Specify the girder number where the overwrite applies.
Bearing Property Overwrites. Overwrites can be applied to the bearing property, the restrainer property, bearing elevation, and bearing angle.
Bearing Property option and drop-down list. When this option is selected, use the drop-down list to select a revised bearing property for the abutment at the specified girder. Alternatively, click the plus symbol (+) preceding the drop-down list to access the Define Bridge Bearings form and define a new bearing or modify an existing bearing.
Bearing Property U2 option and drop-down list. This is only for a steel U girder with two bearings
Restrainer Property at Bearing option and drop-down list. When this option is selected, use the drop-down list to select a revised property for the restrainer cable for the abutment at the specified girder. Alternatively, click the plus symbol (+) preceding the drop-down list to access the Define Bridge Restrainer form and define a new restrainer property definition or modify an existing one.
Bearing Elevation (Global Z) option and edit box. Use this edit box to overwrite the elevation of the bearing at the specified girder.
Bearing Rotation Angle from Bridge Default option and edit box. Specify an angle of rotation for the bearing from its original default position.
Number of Bearings per U Girder option and drop-down list. When this option is selected, use the drop-down list to select the number of bearings per U girder.
Bearing Offset from Section Ref. Point option and edit box. Specify an offset for the bearing from the bridge section reference point to the target position in the abutment skew direction.
Foundation Spring Overwrites. As noted on the form, this overwrite applies only to discrete foundation springs. It does not apply to foundation springs under continuous beams, etc.
Foundation Spring Property option and drop-down list. When this option is selected, use the drop-down list to specify that the foundation spring be pinned, fixed, or based on a foundation spring property definition. Alternatively, click the plus symbol (+) to access the Define Bridge Foundation Springs form to define a new foundation spring definition or review/modify an existing foundation spring definition.
