Bridge Object Plan View Display Form

Use the Bridge Object Plan View Display form to review a graphical display of the bridge model.

Bridge Object Plan View (X-Y Projection) display area. An X-Y view of the bridge alignment is displayed in this area of the form. By default, the bridge layout line is displayed in black, the bridge spans are displayed in red, and the bridge abutments, bent and hinges are displayed in green, dark blue and light blue, respectively.

Move the cursor across the view and the coordinates of the cursor appear in the X and Y display boxes to the right of the view. Additional data concerning the point associated with the location of the cursor is also displayed in the display boxes in the Information area of the form. The data provided varies based on the "Snap To" selected (see below).

Bridge Object Name display box. This display box shows the name of the bridge object being displayed.
Units drop-down list. Use the units displayed or use the drop-down list to change the units used on this form.
Coordinate System drop-down list. Use this drop-down list to apply a coordinate system other than Global if one has been defined.

Snap To. Use the snap features to control the display of data for the cursor location.
- None. When this option is chosen, the cursor will not snap to anything and can be moved freely over the display area.
- Ref. Line. When this option is chosen, CSiBridge snaps the cursor to the reference line and displays various data to the right of the view when the cursor passes over the reference line. As the cursor moves along the reference line, CSiBridge displays the span name and the distance and super elevation associated with the point along the reference line, and the X, Y and Z coordinates for the cursor.
- Layout Line. When this option is chosen, CSiBridge snaps the cursor to the layout line and displays various data to the right of the view when the cursor passes over the layout line. As the cursor moves along the layout line, CSiBridge displays the Layout Line name, the Station location of the cursor along the layout line, and the bearing, the radius, and grade of the layout line at the cursor location, and the X, Y and Z coordinates for the cursor.
- Abutment, Bent, Hinge, Diaph. When this option is chosen, CSiBridge snaps the cursor to the abutment, bent, hinge, or diaphragm and displays various data to the right of the view when the cursor passes over the abutment, bent, hinge or diaphragm. As the cursor moves along an abutment, bent, hinge, or diaphragm, CSiBridge displays the Abutment, Bent, Hinge, or Diaphragm Label (as specified in the Item Label edit box on this form) and the abutment, bent, hinge, or diaphragm property, type, and the bearing, as well as the X, Y and Z coordinates for the cursor along the abutment, bent, hinge, or diaphragm.
Show Span Labels in Sketch. When this check box is checked, CSiBridge displays the Span Label (as specified in the Span Label display box on this form).

Access the Bridge Object Plan View Display form as follows:

Method 1

At a minimum, create a Layout Line and define a Deck Section.
Click the Bridge> Bridge Objects > Expand arrow, or on the Bridge Wizard select the Bridge Object Definitions item and click the Define/Show Bridge Object button, to display the Define Bridge Objects form.
- Alternatively, to bypass the Define Bridge Objects form, click the Bridge > Bridge Objects > New command, which will display the Bridge Object Data form identified in the next step.
Click the Add New Bridge Object, or highlight a previous bridge object definition and click the Add Copy of Bridge Object or Modify/Show Bridge Object button, to display the Bridge Object Data form.
Click the Show Enlarged Sketch button.

Method 2

Click the Bridge > Update > Update Linked Model command, or on the Bridge Wizard highlight the Update Linked Model item and click the Update Linked Model button, to display the Update Bridge Structural Model form.
Click the Modify/Show Selected Object button to display the Bridge Object Data form.
Click the Show Enlarged Sketch button.
