Tendon Response form can be accessed three ways:
Right-click on a tendon object when displaying the undeformed shape. This will show the Tendon Data For Line Object form. Click the “Show” button for the Tendon Loads to bring up the Tendon Load Assignment Data form, then click “Show Prestress Losses”.
From the Bridge Tendon Data form, click the “Loss Params” button to open the Prestress Loss Parameters form. Then click “Show Prestress Losses”.
After an analysis has been run, right-click on a tendon object when displaying frame/cable/tendon force diagrams.
In the first two cases, the Tendon Response form will plot the specified tendon force or stress for a given load pattern (a) Prior to Seating, (b) After Seating and (c) After Other Losses. These are plotted along the length of the tendon to show the effect of the specified losses. For case (3), the actual tendon force computed by analysis for a given load case or load combination will be shown in addition to these three prestress loss curves.
Use the following parameters to control the plot:
Tendon Line Object drop-down list. Choose to display the tendon response. This option is only available when displaying frame/cable/tendon forces, case (3) above.
Result Type option. Select either the force or stress response for which the tendon response plot is to be displayed.
Units drop-down list. Use the displayed units or use this drop-down list to change the units for the form. The selected units will be used to display the response plot.
Export to Excel button. When this button is clicked, the program exports the specified force or stress data to an Excel workbook and automatically launches Excel to display the downloaded data.
Done button. Click to exit the form.
Load Pattern drop-down list. Choose a load pattern for which the specified tendon losses are to be plotted.
Load Case/Combo drop-down list. Select a load case or load combination for which the tendon forces or stresses from analysis are to be plotted. This option is only available when displaying frame/cable/tendon forces, case (3) above.
Multivalued Options. The availability of these options depends on the load case chosen in the Case/Combo drop-down list.
Envelope Max/Min option. Choose this option to display the maximum and minimum results over all time steps.
Envelope Max option. Choose this option to display the maximum results over all time steps.
Envelope Min option. Choose this option to display the minimum results over all time steps.
Step selection box. Use this selection box to choose the number of steps to be included in the plot.
Tendon Response Plot display area. The plot is displayed in this area of the form. Use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the display or hold the left mouse button to move the mouse pointer along the plot to review data for specific points along the plot line. The data will be shown in the text boxes on the right hand side of the form.
