Link/Support Property Data Form

Additional Form:  Advanced Link P-Delta Parameters

Use the Link/Support Property Data form to specify linear and nonlinear link properties.

Note: The software must be the Advanced  version of CSiBridge to use the nonlinear dynamic link properties.

Note:  Linear link elements can only have linear properties assigned to them. In a linear analysis CSiBridge converts the specified effective damping for a link element to modal damping. It then adds the modal damping calculated for all link elements in the model that have effective damping specified to any modal damping already specified for the structure as a whole to get the final modal damping. CSiBridge reports this final modal damping in the printed analysis output for building modes.

Access the Link/Support Property Data form as follows:

  1. Click the Components > Type > Link Properties > Expand arrow command or select an object drawn as a link/support and click the Advanced > Assign > More > Link/Support > Link/Support Properties command to display the Link/Support Properties form. The Link/Support Property Data form also can be accessed by clicking the + (plus) symbol that may appear next to a drop-down list of available link properties, such as the Link Property drop-down lists on the Assign Springs Along Line Object form. Additionally, the Link/Support Properties form also displays when the Define/Show Link Properties button is clicked on the Bridge Wizard when Step 3.3 Links is highlighted.

  2. Then do one of the following:

    • Click the Add New Property button.

    • Select a previously defined Link/Support property in the Properties display list and click the Modify/Show Property button.

Access the Advanced Link P-Delta Parameters form by clicking the Advanced button on the Link/Support Property Data form.
