Abutment properties specify the support conditions at the ends of the bridge. Abutment properties are used in abutment assignments to the bridge object. The abutment property allows specification of the connection between the abutment and the girders as either integral or connected to the bottom of the girders only. The abutment property also allows the abutment substructure to be specified as a series of point springs (one for each girder) or a continuously supported beam.
