Additional Forms: Virtual Work Named Sets, Select Virtual Work Named Set
Use the options on the Virtual Work Diagram form to select the force, the displacement and the values for displaying the percentage of virtual work of an element relative to the balance of the structural members.
Forces drop-down list. Select the load pattern for the force to be displayed.
Displacements drop-down list. Select the load pattern for the displacement to be displayed. This is usually a load pattern that has forces at the location and in the direction of the displacement of interest.
Value Type options. Select to display values as Relative or Absolute.
Show Value check box. When this check box is checked, the display will include a numerical value for the element’s percentage of relative energy shown as well as color-coding for the element.
Save Named Set button. With the Forces, Displacements, and Value Type set as required, click this button to access the Virtual Work Named Sets form and save the settings as a Named Set.
Save Named Set button. Type a name in the Virtual Work Set edit box to name the set of values specified and then click this button to save the Named Set.
Change VW Set Name button. If the name of a previously Named Set needs to be modified, select the Named Set in the Virtual Work Set display area; type a new named in the Virtual Work Set edit box and click the Change VW Set Name button.
Delete VW Set button. If a previously specified Named Set needs to be deleted, select the Named Set in the Virtual Work Set display area and click the Delete VW Set button.
Show Named Set button. The Show Named Set button will be available only if a Named Set has been saved. Click this button to access the Select Virtual Work Named Set form. Highlight the Named Set to be displayed. Click the OK button. The value settings stored in the Named Set will be applied to the active display window.
