See Response Spectrum Code Function Definition Form for details about using the form. The parameters for this code are as follows:
The following parameters are input for the 1995 NBCC (Canadian) response spectrum function.
v = Zonal velocity ratio.
Za = Acceleration-related seismic zone.
Za = Velocity-related seismic zone.
Values for these parameters can be found in Appendix C of the 1995 NBCC. Any positive, nonzero value can be input for the zonal velocity ratio, v. Any positive integer, or zero, can be input for the acceleration- and velocity-related seismic zones.
The 1995 NBCC response spectrum function is based on item 44(a) in Commentary J of the 1995 NBCC.
Access the Response Spectrum NBCC 95 Function Definition form as follows:
Click the Loads > Functions Type > Response Spectrum > Expand arrow command, or on the Bridge Wizard click the Response Spectrum Functions item and click the Define/Show Resp Spec Funcs. button, to display the Define Response Spectrum Functions form. Then do one of the following:
Alternatively, click the Loads > Functions Type > Time History > New command and select NBCC 95 from the resulting form.
