The program allows you to easily define code-specific response spectrum functions for a variety of building codes. The following areas exist on the various Response Spectrum {Code} Function Definition forms:
Function name edit box. Specifies the name of the response spectrum function; use this edit box to modify the name if desired.
Function Damping Ratio edit box. Use this edit box to specify the damping ratio at which the function is defined.
Parameters: Specify the parameters that define the code-specific response spectrum in this area. These parameters vary from code to code. The parameters specified for the codes included in this program are described in separate topics. For details please see the following topics:

Define Function: This area displays the period and spectral acceleration values for the function. Values in this area can only be viewed. To edit the values, convert the function to a user-defined function. The values shown here update every time the spectrum parameters are redefined.
Note: Click the Convert to User Defined button at any time to convert the function to a user defined function. Then edit values in the Define Function area as needed.
Function
graph: This area displays a graph of the function. It updates
automatically as you redefine the spectrum parameters. If your computer
has any problem with the automatic update, click the Display
Graph button located just below the graph.
Run the mouse pointer over the function graph and a dot appears along
the line representing the response spectrum. The coordinates of the
dot are reported in the box just below the graph.
Access the Response Spectrum {Code} Function Definition forms as follows:
Click the Loads > Functions Type > Response Spectrum > Expand arrow command, or on the Bridge Wizard click the Response Spectrum Functions item and click the Define/Show Resp Spec Funcs. button, to display the Define Response Spectrum Functions form. Then do one of the following:
Alternatively, click the Loads > Functions Type > Time History > New command and select {Code} from the resulting form.
