The following parameters are input for the IBC2006 response spectrum function. Any positive, nonzero value can be input for these parameters.

The IBC2006 response spectrum function is based on the procedure described in IBC2006 Section 1613.2.1.4 (ASCE 7-05 11.4).

 

Access the Response Spectrum IBC 2006 Function Definition form as follows:

 

Click the Loads > Functions Type > Response Spectrum > Expand arrow command, or on the Bridge Wizard click the Response Spectrum Functions item and click the Define/Show Resp Spec Funcs. button, to display the Define Response Spectrum Functions form. Then do one of the following:

    • Select IBC 2006 in the Choose Function Type to Add drop-down list and click the Add New Function button.

    • Highlight a previously defined IBC 206 response spectrum function definition and click the Modify/Show Spectrum button.

Alternatively, click the Loads > Functions Type > Time History > New command and select IBC 2006 from the resulting form.
