Form: Program Default Database Number Formatting Options, Database Named Formats
The number formatting specified using the Orb > Settings > Units command will be followed in any databases generated by the program.
Click the Orb > Settings > Units command to access the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form.
Always Use Current Units check box. When this check box is checked, CSiBridge applies the defaults displayed on the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form.
When this check box is unchecked, changes can be made to the various cells/edit boxes on the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form. Click in a cell to access a drop-down list of available values (Units, Always Use E Format) or to type a new value to change the default (Decimal Places, Minimum Significant Figures, Zero Tolerance).
Override Auto E Format check box. When this check box is checked, the program prints very small numbers that have been automatically converted by the program to E format (e.g., 1.3704 E-13) as zero.
The Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form has a Format menu with the following sub-commands. Note that the Always Use Current Units check box must be unchecked for the options on this format menu to be available:
Save Named Format command. Click this command to access the Database Named Formats form and save the selections made on the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form to a named file that can then be easily reused. The Database Named Formats form has the following buttons
Note: If the commands on this menu are not available, uncheck the Always Use Current Units check box and try the commands again.
Add New Format Name
Type a name in the edit box in the Format area of the Database Named Formats form.
Click the Add New Format Name button.
Change Format Name
Highlight the Format Name in the Format display area. The Format Name will display in the edit box above the list of named formats.
Type a new name in the edit box.
Click the Change Format Name button.
Delete Format
Highlight the Format Name in the Format display area.
Click the Delete Format button.
Set to English Defaults command. Using this command will display all values on the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form, and thus in the program, in English units.
Set to Metric Defaults command. Using this command will display all values on the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form, and thus in the program, in Metric units.
Set to Current Consistent Units command. By default, the values on the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form are consistent with the base units specified when the model was initialized. If the units have been changed using the Set to English Defaults or the Set to Metric Defaults command, this command will restore the values to be consistent with the specified base units.
Set to Named Format command. This command can be used to access the named format file created using the Save Named Format command. Click the Set to Named Format command to access the Select Format form. Highlight the named format to be used and click the OK button. The previously saved settings will be applied to the Program Default Database Number Formatting Options form.
