Add New Material Property Form

Use the Add New Material  Property form to specify a new material property definition.

• Region drop-down list. Choose a geographical region associated with the planned new material property definition (e.g., United States, China, India, Europe).

• Material Type drop-down list. Choose a material, such as steel, concrete, aluminum, and so on.

• Standard drop-down list. Choose to apply a customary standard based on the Region and Material Type or choose the User option to define the material.

• Grade drop-down list. If a Standard was selected in the preceding drop-down list, this drop-down list will be populated with options from the selected Standard. If User was selected in the preceding drop-down list, this option will be unavailable.

After these selection have been made, clicking the OK button will display the  Material Property Data form  use in completing the material definition.

Access the Add New Material form as follows:

Method 1

1. Click the Define menu > Materials command to bring up the Define Materials form.

2. Click the Add New Material button

Method 2:

1. Click the   button on the Frame Section Property Data form to bring up the Define Materials form.

2. Click the Add New Material button.
