Use the Material Property Design Data form to specify the design properties:
For steel and cold formed material definitions, specify minimum and effective yield stress and minimum and effective tensile strength.
For concrete material definitions, specify the compressive strength and, if applicable, shear strength reduction factor for light-weight concrete.
For aluminum material definitions, specify the type, alloy designation, compressive yield strength, tensile yield strength, and tensile and shear ultimate strength.
For rebar material definitions, specify the minimum and expected yield and tensile strengths.
For tendon material definitions, specify the minimum yield stress and tensile strength.
For masonry definitions, specify the compressive strength.
Access the Material Property Design Data form as follows:
Click the Define menu > Material Properties command to access the Define Materials form
Then do one of the following to access the Material Property Data form:
Click the Add New Material button to access the Add New Material Property form; specify a new property definition.
Highlight an existing definition and click the Add Copy of Material or Modify/Show Material button.
Select any option from the Material Type drop-down list except Other.
Select any option from the Directional Symmetry Type drop-down list except Other.
Click the Modify/Show Material Property Design Data button.
