Forms: Shell Uniform Load Sets, Shell Uniform Load Set Data
Click the Define menu > Shell Uniform Load Sets command to display the Shell Uniform Load Sets form. Use the form to add, modify or delete shell uniform load set definitions. Shell uniform load sets are intended to assign loads based on the type of occupancy, e.g., hallway or office. Such load sets may consist of several different load patterns and may contain loads from both dead and live load patterns.
Note: The load patterns should be defined using the Define menu > Load Patterns command before the shell uniform load sets are defined.
Add New Load Set button. Click this button to access the Shell Uniform Load Set Data form and define a new load set.
Uniform Load Set Name edit box. Use the default or type in a new name for the shell uniform load set.
Add button. Click the Add button and select a Load Pattern from the drop-down list. Then enter a Load Value in the edit box; this load acts in the gravity load direction.
Click the OK button to complete the definition.
Note: After the sets have been defined, they are assigned to selected shell objects using the Assign menu > Shell > Shell Uniform Load Sets command.
Add Copy of Load Set button.
Highlight a previously defined load set in the Uniform Load Sets display area.
Click the Add Copy to Load Set button to access the Shell Uniform Load Set Data form and add a load set definition based on the selected load set.
Modify/Show Load Set button.
Highlight a previously defined load set in the Uniform Load Sets display area.
Click the Modify/Show Load Set button to access the Shell Uniform Load Set Data form and review or modify the selected load set.
Delete Load Set button.
Highlight a previously defined load set in the Uniform Load Sets display area.
Click the Delete button to delete the selected load set.
